Staying cool in North County

By Zulema G, San Marcos-Vista Macaroni Kid July 26, 2018

Anyone else just so done with this summer heat? Yup, me too and I'm always searching for summer fun activities to stay cool with the kiddos. Yes, we have the beaches nearby, but we all know beach days with kids are not always the easiest of days.  Which is why I'm glad to say that there are many local activities to keep you and the family cool while still having fun (and your house and car sand-free). Here are my Top 5 Events to consider as you plan your family fun for the next few days.  Click on the event titles for more details and Click here for the full calendar of upcoming events.

Family Swim Night, Woodland Pool San Marcos  This affordable evening event offers an inflatable obstacle course, slides, and pools for families to cool down in.

Saturday, July 28th

Crayon Transfer T-shirt Activity, Michaels Vista   An indoor craft activity for kids, tweens, and teens. You buy the t-shirt and the rest is provided for you. Don't forget to see if you can apply a Michael's Coupon to the t-shirt.

Sunday, July 29th-

Brewcado, Aztec Brewery Vista   Join me at this family-friendly indoor market hosted at the Aztec Brewery. The special market theme is Frida Kahlo and there will be vendors, entertainment, and free kid crafts (by your local Macaroni Kid Mama). This will be a fun Sunday event you won't want to miss!

Monday, July 30th-

Potty Training with Sri, Babies in Bloom Vista  Of all the things that suck about early parenting, potty training is definitely up there on my list of least favorite experiences. I wish there had been a class like this around when the boys were going through this stage. For all you about to enter this stage or are deep in this frustrating phase with your littles- make sure to sign up for this amazing resource!

Tuesday, July 31st-

Celebrate 31, Baskin Robbins All locations  Every 31st of any month, Baskin Robbins celebrates with $1.50 scoops. You can't get cooler than that!
