Ever since I was pregnant with my son, other parents have told me how boring it is to shop for boys, there are cuter things for girls they said. And I always thought "You just don't know where to shop for boys!" You see I am the mom of a super-fun-to-shop-for son. We make his clothing selections together and he just so happens to have good taste! Recently we went to Osh Kosh for his back to school shopping, they were having amazing sales and I didn't want to drive all over the place for his things so this seemed like the place to get all we needed. I was right!

We visited the Carters-Osh Kosh shop in San Marcos out on Las Posas Rd. I used to shop at Osh Kosh when my son was little and I would buy the super sturdy overalls for my super active child. I found that they still make really hardy pants (with inside knee patches) and jeans for my still equally active boy. Also, Osh Kosh now makes kids sizes for children up to size 14 so it's not just a clothing shop for the little ones.

During our shopping trip, my son walked around with his Dad reading all the funny t-shirts while I walked around for the practical stuff- 3 for 1 jeans and some basic tees. Osh Kosh had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Doorbuster on some of the items we purchased that I didn't know about. Our customer service associate let us know we can still get more items for free- so this budget seeking Mama was so grateful. I also loved that my son and I were able to walk away with a full wardrobe that was comfy, colorful, durable and really reflected his personality. He is in 2nd grade and he has a strong need to express himself through clothes.
At the same time, I have a strong need to make sure he doesn't wear ripped jeans to school! Osh Kosh carried jeans in so many styles that I ended up getting 3 jeans in different fits and colors. My kid goes through jeans like crazy, so we can never have too many. My son also found some funny tees that he thought kids would like at his new school and he also chose a button up that he felt so good in. I found it interesting that he was already thinking about how clothes can bring people together and it was obvious that some of his selections made him feel confident, or in his own words "handsome" and "awesome".

I took advantage of the great deals and clothing selections available to also shop for some early fall items. So we are now ahead of the game as we get closer to autumn. I love shopping and I love it when the experience is an enjoyable one for my boy too. This was definitely one of those great shopping experiences. As parents, we walked away with a full back-to-school wardrobe that did not break the bank and our child loved getting outfits that reflect his active style and silly personality.
